Hebrew for Job Interviews in Israel

If you have a job interview in Israel, you do not need perfect Hebrew. You do need clear, natural phrases for introducing yourself, talking about your experience, and answering common questions politely.

Start the interview

Useful opening lines:

• שלום, נעים להכיר — Hello, nice to meet you.
• תודה שהזמנתם אותי לראיון — Thank you for inviting me to the interview.
• תודה על ההזדמנות — Thank you for the opportunity.
• אני שמח/ה להיות כאן — I’m happy to be here.

Use שמח if you are male and שמחה if you are female.

Talk about yourself

These are common ways to answer basic questions:

• אני עובד/ת בתחום של... — I work in the field of...
• יש לי ניסיון ב... — I have experience in...
